Dude goes to Grand Rapids once a month at least, definitely whenever there are exclusive releases. He went to Kalamazoo for Bells Hopslam a week or two ago. Dudes basically always going somewhere for beer. I know he said it's a family thing, they bus up to GR for the beer fest every year. He did specify that Hideout was a literal shithole but say the food is good. I'll take your word for the better food though haha
I mean their pizza is good. But it's nothing I would go out of my way for. Almost all the breweries here have pretty good food.
Harmony hall actually butchers their pigs in the basement and makes sausages lol. It's. A German themed bar. It's only 4 blocks from my house but I haven't been there yet. I'm gonna check it out this weekend, but Iv only heard good things.
Yeah I've got a friend heading to Grand Rapids with me. That's cool, he didn't tell me too much because I figured it's months away and I'd probably forget everything he said by then anyway. Good to hear you guys love the venue. Maybe they have a removable barrier depending on artists? I know we have a couple places like that around here. I'm getting excited for this trip. Driving about 1,500 miles in a two week period for five shows.
That looks pretty dope. Probably going to be the smallest of the three shows. No idea what the Columbus venue is like and too many hipsters in Chicago to be in a club that small.
I was just thinking today about how Kvelertak used to be one of my favorite bands and how I haven't seen them in what feels like forever.
That venue's probably a bit ambitious for them. Last time they were there they were supporting High on Fire and I know that didn't come close to selling out.

Your buddy coming to the show with you?
No barrier at any of the shows I have seen there. Not nearly as small as the Pike Room, but its still a pretty small room with stellar sound.
Edit: As the others said the front bar with all the pinball machines are cool as fuck.
I'd have to agree it's the best concert venues in GR. One of my favorite places to see a show .
here is the back of the venue.

The poster didn't mention them for some reason
