This is correct. The shooter of the police officer doesn't seem confirmed, but one of the two shot and killed a police officer.

Yes. From what I can gather, the unconfirmed but likely story is that the MIT officer confronted the two suspects, who then shot him and carjacked an SUV, evading police until they reached Watertown.

I haven't slept more than an hour. I'm way too fascinated by this.

That's about what I got out of it. I just wanted some confirmation that that's how other people are understanding the story. Something about this whole event though just feels wierd.

Police are moving all news people in watertown away from an area fast. All the officers seemed to be drawing weapons. They are saying the kid may go out in a blaze of glory.

@gary they found the car. Police just called for a Russian translator. Which doesn't make sense. The suspect speaks fluent English.
