My parents gave me the honest decision to go to college or not. My dad sat me down in February two years ago and told me that it was 100% a life choice that I had to make, and if I wanted, I could withdraw my entire college fund and take the tax hit and do whatever I want with it. I chose college, because I knew what my savvy was and it was business.

Undergraduate degrees in business are something really stupid, unless you do it right. That's why I chose my university here, because it's not like the others. This is the most forward thinking business school in the country, and I can't tell you how many people I've met who are flabbergasted by what this school teaches you. I probably had adequate skills to go start a business somewhere even a year ago, but I didn't have the startup investment capital or the connections. But I do now.

For me, the investment of school has already paid off, and I go to one of the most overpriced institutions in the country. But I think that what I've done over the last year has made me in infinitely better job candidate and potential business man.

    Lovin' that rant.

After reading Wine's last post, I think Wine is going to be very financially successful. Probably much more then I am and probably much sooner in life. It took me a while to realize that if you actually want to make money you need to go into business for yourself. And now that I have kids and a family, it make it 100x harder for me to take that risk.

College is great and can give you an easy trip to upper middle class. But if you really want to be rich, you have to go into business for yourself. There is no way around it. You either let someone take advantage of you by paying you a little bit of the value you are providing, or you make your own paychecks.

But I've learned,... you will never get rich working for someone else. Instead you will work hard to make them rich.

    Be a business owner.

Exactly. And I hear people say "well you could get rich being a dr or a lawyer" but uhhh dudes. Dr's and Lawyers most of the time are working for themselves. most start up their own practice. Either work hard making someone else rich, or work hard making yourself rich. your call.

if my wife divorced me, I'd quit my job and start working hard to make me rich.
