I've been trained in hand to hand weapon combat for a long time. Trench knives are great for quick easy kills when you are wanting to get from point A to B quick. Learn to CQC dawg.
Any sword/knife is a waste of time. Decapitating zombies would A. Use waay too much energy you'd be exhausted after like 3 kills. And B. The blade would get dull so quick. Bow and arrows would be the perfect weapon.

You would just tired yourself out quicker when trying to get to your destination by swinging all the time trying to go for a kill or trip yourself up trying to get the momentum for a head cut.
