IMO you should just tell her how you feel and get it over with. if it scares her away then so be it. at least you will have tried. if it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be. i had strong feelings for this one girl since high school up until last year. i was 16 when i started having feelings for her and i didn't say anything till i was 25 (last year). she wasn't into me like that which i was fine with but i was just so damn relieved that i finally said something because i was so afraid of fucking up the friendship but she was totally cool about it and we are still good friends.
