I'm not asshurt and it doesn't piss me off. I just think it's stupid and I don't like it. Out of all the Eminem songs, the ones I hate are the ones he used samples on. I just find it lazy and an uncreative way to make a new song
And that's why you're ignorant. Sampling is the most difficult way of making a beat. It's way easier to make a beat from scratch. It's taking a song, and making something completely new out of it. And for it to sound amazing, it takes a lot of creativity.

Erik is actually right on this one. Sampling is hip hop and is usually a difficult way to build tracks. Old bomb squad tracks would have up to 15 different samples running concurrently. That said, i don't support the kind of beat jacking that you guys are primarily talking about.
I agree that sampling is part of hip hop, jay z samples the doors a lot and most of ghostfaces songs are oldies. I'm just saying except for a few examples the sample or cover is never better than the original.

I doubt that, but if it is true its due to them using it prior to sampling lawsthere are a ton of influential rap albums that wouldn't be on the shelves if they weren't grandfathered out
