I've had a really hard time finding producers or really motivated people lately. They passed a shitload of tax incentives to attract Hollywood projects here, but it destroyed the indie film community. It turned people that used to aspire to write and direct into set designers and script supervisors. A lot of the projects shot here now import their own actors and directors from outside, then rely on locals for art department and pas and such. I think that sucks, but it is what it is. At least you can make a living off film here now I guess. Just have him prepared for that reality
