i remember being in high school before i liked any metal and my friend said listen to this band theyre amazing... i was like ok.. it was a7x i was like eh i dont get it, i think it was there second album..never liked them since...the only other metal band i heard in high school was BTBAM some kid brought it into music class to play to the class..i didnt get it or liked it

I got into metal around 5th-6th grade. Metallica was my gateway. My best school story -
I finished a 7th grade Earth Science test early, so I turned it over and decided to write out the lyrics to "Fade To Black" because I was obsessed with the song. Anyways... like 2-3 days later I am called down to the principles office. Walk in to find my mom crying, the principle, vice principle, and the councilor were there.... They then proceed to jump into this suicide intervention because they read what I wrote. I started laughing and said "It's a song! lol. I aint suicidal... Im in 7th grade!"
My parents went to that show John would've been kickass. My first show was Metal Masters with Judas Priest/Heaven And Hell/Motorhead/Testament it was one hell of a show.
I joined the Ozzboards in 05' and then stop posting for awhile after the fest was over that year and forgot my password. I started a new one in 07' and stayed.
