You can't just judge by ticket sales 09 was by far the best lineup and they didn't do as good as other years if I remember correctly

Amon Amarth and mastodon are about as good as slayer and Motörhead.. It's not that far apart..

The headliners in 2011 were bad, but there were some great side acts. Red Fang, Kingdom of Sorrow, Unearth, not to mention the Bay Area got Testament. Plus Megadave wasn't bad in 2011.

It was cool seeing Motörhead and I'm glad I got to see them but they weren't the best live band ever.. Slayer kills but so does mastodon my statement stands
