anyone who has ever owned a snake as a pet, especially a constrictor, knows that you should never feed the snake live prey. it cuts down on the chance of the prey fighting back and injuring the snake. plus, feeding it live prey makes it aggressive.

I've tried feeding my snakes dead rats, but they never take them. Not once have they ever been injured from a live rat. And I've never heard that about it making the snake more aggressive feeding it live. As long as you handle them they're fine.
