Since Wake already made the Breaking Bad comparison..At some point the writes just really started sucking. I'm not going into specific story lines or whatever...but at a certain point I stopped feeling any relation or emotion to pretty much every character on the show. Whereas on Breaking Bad, I was torn up for a minute when Andrea got shot. And bitch hasn't had a role in the show that included anything other than opening a door for how long now?
Dexter never got the recognition that breaking bad gets because the acting sucks...like it is pretty bad...the writing is average...season 4 was great but it should have ended there

Started watching the first season again since the first time I watched the show around season 3...Can't believe how much everything changed. I mean I know Dexter supposedly really did change, but still. This dude went from preferring not to have sex to pulling bitches.
OMG! my bf has never watched dexter, so now that it's back on netflix , we're watching it. that's the first thing i noticed! that he never wanted to have sex, it was so awkward when him and rita started dating. now he's bangin bitches all over the place, lol. season 1 was so fucking lame and weird , i notice now haha
The first season is weird looking back for almost every show because you can see the actors developing the way they play the character. Like how Dexter has a smile on his face and was so enthusiastic at every crime scene in the first season. But yeah same thing I noticed it was on netflix and figured why not.
We tried. The thread faked it's own death, and became a lumberjack. It now lurks deep in the trees with occasional unconfirmed reports of it being spotted off in the distance like Bigfoot, or MC after a light snow.
