i would not listen any song over 10 minutes minutes on this list. only songs i can stand over that mark are bands i already know i like. even then its tough sometimes, like moonsorrow's 30 minute song, i've only finished that once... doubt i'll do it again

Exactly. I have to really be into a band to give them that amount of my time. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple of the bands that have these long songs, but it seems that if you are trying to represent your musical tastes, it will be for naught, because most people will be skipping it.

I dont think 7 min is overkill. That is probably the average metal song.

Well if Dreamtheater wants to pick a shorter DT song (thats also heavy and def represents the band) pick "the Mirror" as its 6:45. Also maybe mike can pick a diff song as we already have a BtBAM song on the list

its sure as hard to find short and good dream theater songs lol (if he picks "I Walk Beside you" I even would skip it lol, as its prob the low point in their career, as it sounded way too hard to be a radio song
