We've only heard one side? How can you HATE a man? Oh Idk maybe because Al Qaeda took credit for the attack on 9/11 perhaps?
I have no problem with that comment. I actually did watch translated videos of Bin Laden's speeches, and did read his press conferences where he explained why he did what he did. For what it is worth, the dude wasn't crazy and was fighting back against a great injustice of his life. He felt justified in his reaction because he was wronged first. Now do I agree with his course of action? Absolutely Not. It was morally, and ethically wrong to create an injustice as a reaction to previous injustice towards you. But in general, the football player is exactly right. 99% of Americans spent zero time understanding why he felt justified in his actions. Perhaps if people did understand why he thought he had to go to those ends, then perhaps we could stop this from happening in the future. But we don't, so we are doomed to repeat.
I don't hate Bin Laden... don't like him either. I'm pretty indifferent. I think he had coming what happened to him
c'mon wake you are a smart guy and I know you are probably just trying to be the Devil's advocate here, but your comments are pretty ignorant.
No matter how you slice and spin it, it still can't be disputed that he killed thousands of innocent Men, Women, and Children, with multiple disgusting cowardly acts. For you to even make an attempt to try and sympathize with him and justify some sort of sensical reason for this is extremely disappointing.
Not to mention the complete lack of compassion for the victims and their families and the soldiers who have done so much for our country in the aftermath of all of this.

I wasnt trying to sympathize or justify his actions. He was 100% wrong. I was just saying even though he is wrong, doesnt mean we should close our eyes and not learn anything from it.
I'm not too fond of the word hate. I dont see much point in holding hate within yourself. Hate pulls you down and actually makes your life worse off. It's better to forgive and let karma deal with others shitty actions.
I agree with this. I don't have room in my life for hate either. I have reason to hate someone every minute of every day of my life too, but I try to remain relaxed about it. Life is too short to be bitter. That being said, it is nice to finally see some justice served.

It's funny that you agree because when I reread the last two posts, I can't help but think that my point was very consistent both times. I guess I just did a better job explaining it the second time. *shrug*
I agree though. Karma finally caught up to Bin Laden, not surprising and im sure got what he had coming to him. I'd bet the football player would probably agree also, and if not then he is probably pretty dumb.
I also have had reasons to hate someone for the rest of my life.... I am thankful that I figured out that the hate I had for this person was making my life miserable. The hate was actually allowing me to keep being the victim. The moment I let that shit go, my life has been infinitely better. I don't have to like everyone, but nothing good will come from holding hate close. just let that shit go, and let karma work its magic.

THIS.
Plus, being a good, loving person is extremely useful in life.
there is no such thing as Karma!! osama killed thousands of innocent people so we sent forces to hunt him down for over a decade. that is called cause and effect. if i punched my friend freind in the face and he punched me back in the face cuz he was pissed thats not karma....

I'm not saying Karma is a physical or metaphysical thing. I'm just saying I subscribe to the belief that you will get back what you put out.
