I mean, at least they've played Dream of Mirrors live on that album tour. There's plenty of deep cuts they've never played live. *coughAlexandertheGreatcough* Hell they didn't play everything good off The Final Frontier or The Book of Souls either. Hard to be picky about their setlists with so much to play. And this is with them not playing The Trooper or Hallowed or Run To The Hills every tour.
Yeah I was very disappointed they played Red and The Black on the second leg as well. And cutting Hallowed for another boring song from the new album. Truthfully, I'd rather hear Empire lol at least that one keeps me interested all the way through

Completely disagree about The Red and the Black. Great melodies and solos and my favorite performance from Bruce on the album quite frankly. Tears of a Clown vs. The Great Unknown is a wash for me, I wish they had played Shadows of the Valley or When The River Runs Deep.
Nah they said themselves that they were looking for an old song to switch out and the lawsuit just helped them make a choice. Its not like copyright owners make royalties from live performances. They could have kept playing it if they wanted

Except they said themselves it was the reason, whether it makes sense or not:
After much speculation, Maiden have confirmed that they did drop 'Hallowed...' from their setlist because of the dispute. A band statement said:
"As previously announced for the current second leg of the Book of Souls tour a couple of changes to the setlist were due to be made. The first was including a different track from the new album and having been made aware of a legal claim, the second change was to replace 'Hallowed Be Thy Name'."

Blame the royalty lawsuit.

I seriously doubt they would have dropped it otherwise, they didn't play it on the entirety of their previous world tour.
