Honestly, it's going to get to the point where the music industry is simply based on live shows. And that's how it should be.
    No it shouldn't.
I'm sure you listen to at least one artist that does not perform live. The first person to come to my mind is Vargy Vikernes.
Are you saying that Varg does not deserve to earn a living for the wonderful music he shares to us? How dare you.

That being said, I download pretty much all my music. I do buy records quite often, and will buy a band's new album if I'm really excited about it, because you should support the artists you love. However, I download because I can't afford all of it, plain and simple. Music is the absolute best thing in the world and it's stupid to not listen to as much of that fantastic shit as you can.

i agree with jor. i download cuz i would never even be able to afford even a 20th of the albums i download and i would have no money to go to shows to support bands on the road

I never knew he was a drummer in Nirvana until now
He has also drummed for Probot, Queens Of The Stone Age, Tom Petty, Them Crooked Vultures, Garbage, Killing Joke, Tenacious D, and Nine Inch Nails.
Speaking of NIN, my band teacher's uncle was part of their touring ban for awhile (since I think Reznor was the only true member?)

Dave Grohl and Richard Patrick have both performed in that band.

Any non-keyboard instruments in that band are performed by guest musicians.
