I forgot who it was, but on the GnR Behind The Music Documentary (which was awesome, btw) one of the interviewed guys said "Axl COULD have gone down in history as one of the greatest Frontmen of all time, but his ego and attitude destroyed his band's future and his own legacy"
I think to this day that is so true.....Some of you may be too young to remember how huge GnR was for between around 88 to 93 or so....Axl sank himself with his bullshit..
Soooooo true. I saw them live in 87 with the Cult and in 89 with Motley Crue. Axl's implosion began on that tour. He was arrested at several stops, caused riots during shows, ran up huge motel and bar tabs, and let his reviews in the press take over his mind.
