they could've done better, but ive been very impressed with the '09, '10, and this years lineups. a lot of times festivals just have like 3 or 4 bands i like. but 09, 10, and 11 i like about half the bands on each lineup. IMO mayhem fest has done a damn good job with the last few lineups. 08 was ok, nothing too special.

well this year I think they had a good idea with MH/Trivim/InFLames but they spent soooo much money on the three "headliners" on the mainstage that they had no more money to get any good sidestage bands... like staright line sttch and red fang couldve ahd a lot of othter bands in their spot ya know

yeah i definitely agree. those are 2 bands that i dont like. but hey, when they're playing that means i can find a place to sit, rest, eat, drink, or get a beer or something.

yeah, godsmack kicks ass live. i'd recommend to anyone, even if your not a fan of them, to stay for their show.

let me see if i can dig up a good quality youtube video. i just saw them in october, and they had one kick ass short video on the screen just before they came out on stage. they had clips of dio and some other stuff. if i remember right, the video was pretty much a "fuck you" to censorship and people who think rock/hard rock/metal is evil. when their show started all their amps and shit levetated off the stage (on wires of course, but i couldn't even see the wires). sully and the drummer (shannon larkin) do a "drum battle" at some point during the show where they put 2 drum sets on the stage and shannon and sully play the drums at the same time.
