I don't think that was lost in Gold/Silver at all. All they did was add a region and some Pokemon. The games look almost identical.

Going to Kanto wasn't the same. Safari Zone was closed, Cinnabar Island was boring as hell, and they turned the Pokemon tower into a radio center for Christ sake!

yeah I dont use action replay. I like my pokemon to have been raised by me. But I just like having them bounce from game to game without ruining the last game.

No you don't. You can get the relocater and another DS and you can transfer D/P/P/HG and SS to White/Black.

SWEET! How long does it take to get the relocater?

Since I have an acekard, I can save my game and it goes to a save file. Anyways So I can back up my save file and then transfer all my awesome pokemon to another game which ruins the current save file, but then I just C&P outside of the game my backed save file and then I get all my guys back. its awesome. Kinda cheating probably but still awesome.

I have a friend who ran into a shiny mew when he was little and didn't catch it because he didn't know. So don't feel too bad. :-))

I've never seen any shiny pokemon in any game except for the red garados.
