Yo you attacked so I defended. So let's discuss then. What problems do you have with my list?
In general your list is a fine collection of really generic music that someone who has not really experienced real metal might post. However Ill jump into some of the more finer details of your shitty collection.
For starters, slipknot is a really awful generic shitty Nu-Metal band. If you will allow me to divert a little from the music first, I will get back to it in a min. Slipknot is gimmick metal. They realize that their music is so awful that they needed to come up with some shitty gimmick to bring the pozers. Their Gimmick is the stupid masks and the ridiculous number of drummers / band members. Sorry. You don't need that many people to make music, you need that many people to make yourself a spectacle and draw in stupid kids who dont see through their bullshit. Their first album was shit. The entire sound was drowned out by the percussion and both that and Iowa followed a very simplistic music philosophy: lets come up with some lame line like "People=Shit!", and then scream this over and over, and the posers will be like "OMGz they are so bad cause they said shit." anyways.... you listed Vol 3, not the first two so Ill try and bring it back... So what do they do for Vol 3? Basically sell out. Nu Metal was dead so they try'd to bring it back to the mainstream by dropping the NuMetal bullshit that everyone was tired of, and come up with something more mellow. I agree that this sell out album was much better then the last two, so what would I have asked of the band? Let slipknot just die. But instead they kept the stupid fucking gimmick alive. I'm not a fan of Corey's vocals. The lyrics are beyond stupid, how many times to they need to repeat the same words/sentence? Branch out fuckers, and quit the mask bullshit. The only reason why this album is marginal is being Rick Rubin produced it and that fucker knows music. Any credit this album deserves probably belongs solely to Rick. Slipknot shouldnt be on anyone's top 10 unless it is a top 10 shitty bands.
Mezmerize/Hypnotize??? are you fucking kidding me? awful. Probably 2 of the shittist albums from this band. Steal This Album and Toxicity and even their first self titled were better. basically you are listing the albums that destroyed the band (hmmmm... maybe you are onto something). Regardless... Daron is a fucking punk and his bitching and douchiness rubs off on this album. Serj is a great vocalist but he wasn't happy with the spot light Serj was getting so he fucked up any potential the albums had. Awful. I mean the band is like borderline okay as it is, yet you pick their worst albums as your top 10? really? awful.
Linkin Park?!? Really? You understand what Link Park is right? Linkin Park is pure and simply- engineered pop-rock music. They are very smart and did their homework well. There is nothing original there, it is simply just songs written to make a buck. no emotion, no real creativity. It is just music written to play on the whole teen angst movement. I get that the albums aren't awful sounding at times, but how can you list this band in a top 10 when their is nothing new? Horrible band.

^ agreed. Also Slipknot was fun back in 98 when I saw them, and the debut has some bright spots, but they wore their welcome out years ago.....
BUT, like I stated in my post with my top ten, this isn't a BEST 10 ALBUMS, it's YOUR favorite 10, and i take that to mean 10 discs that have the most meaning to YOU....So santana may have a different perspective than myself and that faggot wake of ashes......

I not NOLA. I had a good weekend. It was my bday, and all weekend long my 5 year old daughter Kadence (who is a total momma girl) was all about me. She wanted to sit by me at dinner, and movie night, and hold my hand. It was pretty damn cute. Seriously, best birthday ever!
