This was very hard... I decided to only list one album per band. And I feel horrible leaving off Pantera, Cephalic Carnage, Suffocation, Gorjira, Lamb Of God, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy, Frank Zappa, Necrophagist, Opeth, Townsend, and Ayreon. Probably others too....

    Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage
At The Gates - Slaughter Of the Soul
Death - Individual Thought Patterns (Symbolic a close 2nd)
    Dark Tranquility - The Gallery
Control Denied - The Fragile Art of Existence
Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal
    Tool - Lateralus
    Pink Floyd - The Wall
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
The Beatles - Sgt Pepper's lonely Hearts Club Band

I'm doing one album per band as well.

    In order:
    1. Colors-Between the Buried and Me
    2. Evangelion-Behemoth
    3. Somewhere in Time-Iron Maiden
    4. Slipknot-Vol.3 (The Subliminal Verses)
    5. Mezmerize/Hypnotize-System of a Down
    6. Colony-In Flames
    7. Relentless Retribution-Death Angel
    8. Shogun-Trivium
    9. Seasons in the Abyss-Slayer
    10. Meteora-Linkin Park

Most of these albums have had huge effect on me because they were the jams I was listening to at certain times. Some, like colors, I just think are amazing but almost every album is a nostalgic, sentimental thing from what I was listening to at one time.

That's one thing I miss. It was lots of fun when my friends and I were all raving about Slipknot or system and watching their music videos on tv and whatnot. It's not the same now but my friend who's been a system fan for 5 years now still talks to me about them and we both got very excited when we found out they reunited. He and I are talking about going to Pittsburgh this summer for Ozzfest if System is on the bill.

fine trivium is a completely bland, unoriginal metal band that has atrocious lyrics and borrowed riffs

Now we have something to work on. I find it very original. Show me another band that has a sound like theirs. Their thrash influenced metalcore mixes very well. I don't get how they have bad lyrics. Metal as a whole doesn't have good lyrics but trivium seems to be doing better than other bands. Where are their borrowed riffs from?

Which bands and which albums do you think should go in their place?
