The house I used to live was owned by this really nice old lady who let my parents pay what they could afford.
But when she passed, her daughter inherited the house or something n she jacked up the price.
It didnt get to the point of an eviction, but i remember looking for another house n moving in only a few months.

Well, instead of my dad paying her the $1275 a month, he was paying $500 every two weeks. Apparently she couldn't handle that anymore.

I'm worried all the time that we're gonna lose our house. My dad hasn't had a damn job since spring 2007 and my mom can't work. The only income is my moms disability which is now 830 a month. Dad's used the whole 60,000 or so of the retirement crap he got back then. We owe 2 years worth of taxes on the house and the bank because dad did the retarded thing an took out a line of credit to pay the house off.....so he now owes the bank money instead. I'm constantly stressed because idk wtf I'd do if I get a call we lost the house while in Texas.

I sure hope things start going better your way and ya'll find a decent place to stay at

Sucks but landlord has the right. if I owned a house and rented it and they didnt pay/didnt pay on time a lot I would evict too.

Thanks, Leah. I'm not home right now, so I can't even comfort my family. I'm an 1hr 1/2 away. I guess my dad will probably have to get a small place for my siblings and I'll just have to store my stuff there and find somewhere else to crash come summer.

she might not be greedy. what if shes paying off the house with that rent money? my uncle has houses that he does that with and if the renter doesnt pay on time he has to pay it and wait for them to pay him.

The house was paid off shortly after we moved in. Her personal house was left to her in a will, completely paid off. She's just a Voorhees, rich bitch (George knows what I'm talking about).

She could not be. Never trust a landlord to do that. My ex got fucked over that way. They guy was supposed to be taking his money and paying the house off. Then the house would actually be his. But he never paid it off, pocketed all his money and the house foreclosed 4 separate times and he never knew until he had to get out within 20 days.
