Honestly, I have a very, very little hunch Clutch may play. I don't know about you guys, but at our date, they passed out these packets of coupons for Indie Merch Store that have band logos on 'em. All of 'em were bands that have either played Mayhem Fest in the past, (3IOB, Red Chord, JFAC) or bands that are this year's tour (Red Fang, ASP, etc), except they had a Clutch one. So I have a small gut feeling Clutch may be there, but at the same time I doubt it'll happen.

I'm doubtful too but that would be awesome beyond belief.

I predict these bands: As I Lay Dying (they're rumored already), Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, and one of the following 3: Slipknot, System of a Down, or Rammstein.

Actually, I was talking to John Reese while we were doing Jagerboooooooooombz and he said that his first choice for 2011 was Rammstein. He and Lyman spoke with the band and offered them $8,000,000 to do the tour, but they turned it down.

Still too big. Rammstein just played and sold out the Oracle Arena, which seats more than any of the ampitheaters that host Mayhem Fest.

That's what we were joking about, but he said they "respectfully declined."

    But yeah... true story.

actually, i suspect there will be 1 or 2 black metal bands next year, 1 famous and another thats unknown/semi famous (famous and uknown/semi famous in the metal scene not mainstream).

If that's the case it'll be Dimmu Borgir

    Continued:
they've had nu metal, metalcore, thrash, death metal, deathcore etc. but i think the've only had like 1 black metal band since it started.

    But you put Metallica. DERP.

and you put SOAD as support, not a headliner. DERP.

    And Behemoth is epic.

Nice, though I'm not sure Mudvayne could coheadline.
