Friend is gone...missing perhaps

She left around 10 today after a possible fight with her parents and her mom just called me talking in a very scared, panicked voice asking if I knew where she was. She called me today from an old number and we talked for a little bit but now she's gone and I called her number (both old and her normal one) and they're both giving me this out of service or out of range of service. She could possibly be with her boyfriend and just have her phone off but I don't know if out of service means the phone is off or literally not in service. Help please? I don't want to call the police until I know she's actually missing and not just hanging out with her boyfriend....idk if I should call or not and if I do call do I call 911 or the non emergency number?

please help. I'm kind of frantic right now too
