CF, my justification of the new Foo Fighters being #1 for me is that it's the most complete album I've listened to this year, the songwriting is absolutely top-notch, and it has a perfect mix of full-out rock songs and more melodic stuff. It's their best in 15 years, plain and simple, and I think the hype around it is well-deserved.

Either way, you've learned. :-bd
New album has what the others lack; Structure. I listened to In The Constellation Of The Black Widow right afterwards, and yep, it's still terrible.
