I like your taste in music.
Thanks dude, I like more indie/folk/rock type music as you can tell. So far tho 2011 has been a pretty good year for albums
That's a horrible list of music.
Mogwai are very good, so are Radiohead (although I haven't listened to the new one), and Iron & Wine ain't bad. Not really a big fan of anything else on the list though, especially Death Cab. But you could use more folk music in your life.
When Jorm says folk.. he means Traditional folk. Not the metal attempt at it.
a lot of metal bands do folk quite well... but i'll admit some fuck it up REALLY bad as well
Are you guys talking about a metal band playing acoustic folk stuff, or just folk metal? But I would much rather listen to traditional folk than indie folk rock.
Didn't think it was possible, but something tied, not topped, tied Goblin.
TIE #1: Tyler, The Creator - Goblin. TIE #1: Kanye West & Jay-Z - Watch The Throne. #2: Chris Webby - Webster's Laboratory. #3: Tech N9ne - All 6's And 7's. #4: Mac Miller - Best Day Ever. #5: Lupe Fiasco - Lasers. #6: T. Mills - Leaving Home. #7: Frank Ocean - Nostalgia/ULTRA. #8: Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers.
Watch The Throne is absolutely fucking unreal. One of the most monstrous albums I've ever heard. It's just such a gigantic and elegant album, they absolutely killed it. The production is absolutely untouchable. This is gonna go down as one of the best Hip Hop albums of all time. It's absolutely perfect in every aspect. But this and Goblin are perfect in different ways to me. WTT, production wise, is obviously miles ahead of Goblin, but that's to be expected. All the production on Goblin except for Transylvania (Left Brain did Transylvania.) was self produced by Tyler, on computer software like I use. Jay and Yeezy obviously are way more professional and have way more money. But Goblin, I relate to way more emotionally and those songs hit me way more than anything on WTT does, plus Tyler has a lot better flows in some cases, but Musically, this is way ahead of Goblin. But they still come out about equal, neither tops the other.
