The list is nice and I agree with a lot of it.....
I listened to Gaga per request and didn't hate it, but it wouldn't be in my top 50. Once my list hits 50 albums are going to be dropping out because I'm not going any farther lol. I haven't listened to the new Britney or Avril but I imagine I'd feel the same way.

Probably. My attitude towards pop music is that .......if i'm not going to listen to metal, i'd rather listen to something thats nothing like metal, such as pop music. If I want to listen to heavy music, I'd prefer it to be really heavy, that's why I have increasingly lost most of my tolerance with anything resembling "radio metal". Kind of like a "all or nothing" if that makes sense.
I wanted to keep track of all of the albums for the year, because I do an end of the year top 100 songs of the year thing on New Years eve day, every year. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering which albums are eligible and this will probably help me.
If you're interested in 60's-70's sounding stuff, you should check out Hisingen Blues by Graveyard. You may like. And my list excludes EPs even though I have the new Enslaved on my computer and haven't listened to it.
Idk I wanted to like it, but I just can't get into it. I'm a fan of DevilDriver too, but it's just not good. It's heavy, but it's heavy for just the sake of being heavy. There is no cool melodic riffs and harmonies like they usually have, and same with the choruses. It's just straight forward basic uninteresting shit. The best song on the album is a cover song. Maybe the guitar player who left the band used to write all of their music or something
While it's not there best it's still a good album. I am huge devildriver fan, but my favorite album of theres would have to be between the last kind words PFV or the fury of our markers hand. John miller was the dude who left but he was only the bass player but he didn't write too many of the riffs. I can see why you didn't like beast after PFV being just a unique album with awesome guitar solos and drums and vocals. But beast to be is just them going heavier with out fucking with their sound. Devildriver always tweak there sound a little bit .

yeah I knew somebody left the band, but I didn't know who. I still like them and would see them live, but I just can't get into the new album. The Last Kind Words is my favorite by them btw.
Comments

The list is nice and I agree with a lot of it..... But this made me go :-|
Yeah I wasn't sure whether or not to include the pop albums, but if figured ehhh why not.
