hey... i just thought of something. I have a Line6 amp. If i use a cord to plug the POD Out into a Computer, wouldnt that work as a good way to record guitar?
ok so, i'm finally probably gonna buy my recording equipment today... i'm prob gonna get Reaper, some 1/4 to USB cords to plug my amp right into a comp, and a condensor mic, witha USB cord as well. ima see how that sounds. if i'm unhappy ima start saving up for drum mics as well.
i'm getting how to record, but any tips on how to mix, or what programs make mixing easy.
my program makes it complicated cuz if you change tempos, and copy and past into one track, it plays back both at the same tempo creating a lag, or speed up.

the whole effects thing is never really used in metal.... its just to keep it sounding good at blazing speeds
