I don't know exactly when Noah was injured, but his loss was still a factor.
Also, having a shortened season pretty much makes it a sprint which is a lot easier for the younger teams in my opinion. Teams were playing 3-4 straight nights sometimes which is rough on a team like Dallas or San Antonio.

Once Rose was done so were the Bulls chances. Even if Rose and Noah were healthy the Bulls still would have been a significant underdog vs Miami
