I think he stopped and that should have been waved off in the first place, but it's close enough to where I can see why they let it stand after review.
I think it was a complete stop. He stopped going forward, which I believe the rule is, so it shouldn't have counted. But it is close, so it was the right call to stay with how it was called on the ice.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Detroit Red Wings forward Chris Conner is expected to be out for two weeks with a hand injury, general manager Ken Holland said today.
Holland said Conner has a slight fracture, sustained in Tuesday's 4-1 win at Pittsburgh. He will be placed on short-term injured reserve.
The Red Wings recalled forward Tomas Tatar from the Grand Rapids Griffins for precautionary reasons. Holland said another player, whom he would not identify, has a minor injury and might not be able to play tonight at Nashville (8 p.m., Fox Sports Net Detroit).
If that player can't play, Tatar will be in the lineup. If that player can play, Tatar will rejoin the Griffins in Cleveland.
"We got a player (other than Conner) that just got hurt the other day,'' Holland said. "We think he can play (tonight). If he can't play, we got to have a player here (as insurance). That player felt better yesterday, we'll see how he feels at the skate (today).''
Holland didn't have any details on Conner's injury. He saw a hand specialist.
Conner has recorded a point in each of the past three games (goal, two assists), playing on a line with Danny Cleary and Darren Helm. Conner has provided good energy during his six games with the Red Wings, supplanting Cory Emmerton in the lineup.
Reading through some stuff on Twitter from the Wings beat writers....it sounds like Hudler is the one who's also banged up, but it's just a guess. Everyone is practicing. Conner's still skating with the team even with the hand fracture.
Pronger out for year. What a shock. Dood is made of glass. He's been out all year and we're still in 1st in the conference. Give the C to Giroux and let's move on, they seem more in sync without him anyway. He was a waste of pics and players. The guy is done.

And seeing the Pens lose against anyone, including the Redwings, is a good thing
