I can really see trivium, devildriver, and AILD doing this. Maybe COF but I'm not sure because mayhem wouldn't have a whole load of bands doing Wacken and mayhem.
I missed Machine Head at 08. Come to think of it, I really didn't watch that many sidestage bands. I think only The Red Chord, Soil, and 36 Crazyfags. I also heard Airbourne in the background and thought they blew.

i almost missed machine head in 08. we were walking in drunk out of our minds and my friend pushed another kid. the kid proceeded to belt him across the face and he bled everywhere so when we tried to get in he had to go to the first aid tent. i wasnt 21 at the time so when we talked to the police i though he wasnt gonna let us in but he did and my friend went to the hospital and i went and moshed to machine head lol
