That was the only fitting way for that fight to end. Sonnen talked more shit then anybody in the history of the industry prior. He came in and dominated. Silva capitalized on the one split second Sonnen lost focus in the fight and came out victorious. Im curious to see where Dana wants to go with this later tonight.
I feel really strongly about Sonnen getting an immediate rematch, and here's why. BJ Penn got absolutely dominated by Frankie Edgar in their fight earlier this year, with Edgar winning a majority decision. White has given Penn an immediate rematch in a few weeks time. Based upon that, Sonnen deserves a rematch immediately after pounding Silva for 23 minutes and coming out on the losing side.
I did read as well that both fighters have expressed a desire to fight once again so we'll see what unfolds.
