I think you are missing the point. Your original post says hardcore bands and has bring me the horizon. I don't care way their influence is or if you think they lean more to the hardcore side or not it is an insult to lump them into the hardcore genre.
Not an insult, but OK. It's not only Hardcore influenced, but it's very evident in the Music. Especially in songs like Anthem.
And especially his Vocals. They're straight up Hardcore style Vocals. You can't deny that. In fact, being an amateur Vocalist that actually practices this shit, the exact same technique is used to scream BMTH and Hatebreed. Oli is just higher pitched, Jamey is lower.
