According to The Pulse Of Radio, a new SOUNDGARDEN song called "Been Away Too Long" will be shipped to rock radio stations next Wednesday (September 19). The track will be the first official single from "King Animal", the Seattle grunge legends' first all-new album in 16 years. In related news, Hits Daily Double has reported that the band is signing a new worldwide record deal with Universal Music Group, with "King Animal" tentatively coming out through the Universal Republic label on November 13.

Deftones have set "Tempest" as the first single from the band's upcoming seventh album, titled Koi No Yokan, according to Antiquiet. The track will reportedly be sent to radio stations on October 9th, with the CD itself scheduled for release on November 13th. As for that mysterious title, Antiquiet reported that it's a "Japanese term that's not literally translatable to English. It basically means love at first sight, but the distinction is that Koi No Yokan specifically refers to the feeling that this love at first sight is one's destiny, with the who and how and why being, possibly, completely unknown."
Other tracks set to be included on the 11-song set are "Poltergeist (Roller Derby)," "Romantic Dreams," "Leathers," "Entomb (Dazzle)," "Graphic Nature," "Rosemary" and "What Happened To You? (Flashback)."
"Leathers" will be issued as a free download on Tuesday (September 18th).
Scion A/V is releasing a new EP from Revocation later this month. The EP is titled Teratogenesis and features the first recordings with the band's new bass player, Brett Bamberger. The EP artwork can be viewed here.
Frontman Dave Davidson commented on the band's new bassist:
"As some of you have already noticed Anthony has parted ways with the band. The split was amicable and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. We have recently enlisted the services of Brett Bamberger and we are incredibly stoked to have him on board as an official member. Come see us live and buy him a beer."
