so your telling me the playoffs will be the exact same as last year aside from one team?

    :-))

2 different teams. Not saying I'll be right, but the best teams from last year either stayed the same or improved.

you do realize that since 2000 only twice has it happened where 7 of the 12 teams returned the next year right?

the average teams that return to the playoffs the next year since 2000 is 5.6....and your telling me 10 of the 12 teams are gonna make it back? :-?

Shit happens where teams don't make it again. I do realize that. I'm just saying, that on paper those are the best teams. But alot of crazy things happen in an NFL season. That's not lost on me. Kansas City and Seattle made it in out of nowhere last year, but it's just difficult to predict which teams will take a step back, especially with all of the turnover and lack of mini-camps, etc.

actually I think there are only about 5 teams that I would completely eliminate from playoff contention right now and that would be

    Washington
    Cincinnati
    Cleveland
    Carolina
    Buffalo

Nothing would surprise me with the other teams making it in, especially as bad as the AFC and NFC wests are.

the bears won't make the playoffs unless they get someone like braylon edwards. and even then it might be a longshot

How do you figure? They made it to within one play of the SB last year and haven't really done anything other than mildly improve. They still have a really good defense, the best special teams in football, and an offense that if they protect Cutler better than last year ( which is almost impossible not to be able to accomplish), should be half way decent.

That being said..........if they absolutely suck, I wouldn't be surprised either, because as close as they were to the SB last year, it was still a frustrating year to watch, and I never really believed in them so.... who the fuck knows?

God that game against the Giants probably gave him nightmares for years to come. What was it again? 9 sacks in the first half lol.

i can agree mostly with Was. Cin. and Cle.

but as far as carolina i expect them to at least compete...with a rookie qb will hurt them...but they brought back most of there good players and i think they will play hard...but yeah they won't make it

As far as the bills, there a team to me no one is paying attention to. They played really hard last year and put together some really good games....they play in a extremely hard division tho

The bears i think will still be pretty damn good...Roy has worked in that offense, and i don't care what people say he still has damn good talent...i expect him to catch 60-80 balls and have 6-10 TD...I also like them signing Vernon gholston....well i know he hasn't recorded a sack in his 3 year career i believe he was lost in that 3-4 system and never really given a chance to succeed with what he is good at...i actually wanted the lions to sign him for cheap lol...plus they added that okeyay guy (spelling) from Houston...there defense was really good last year while they are old they can still be very good

Yeah Buffalo wasn't as bad as their record but their division is too tough, and the Panthers will likely be better, but they are still a couple of years away.

that was fucking brutal. Yeah it was 9 sacks and the sad part is I think the score was tied at halftime too, or they may have been down by only 3

aside from the fact that they can't seem to put 2 good seasons together under lovie, they are getting really old on defense. peppers and urlacher are personal favorites of mine, but they can't be great forever. they have mostly a bunch of nobodies at reciever and just unloaded a perfectly capable tight end threat. i'm not sure what they're thinking with their backs unless they cut taylor. i'm not sure why a team, even the bears, would load up on running backs when they've sunk so much money into their qb, while at the same time depriving him of a #1 reciever. that said, if you put edwards and williams together and run hester at slot, they may be able to do something.

mike martz is an egomaniac. unless you have years of building and a lot of power, you don't tailor your team around your offense, you tailor your offense around your team. dumping olsen was a dipshit move.

oslen couldn't block...and thats basically what the tight end is for in his offense....i can see why they got rid of him....but it still might not have been smart
