hmmm thoes are pretty good scores....i didn't look at his rushing numbers and im sure there were a couple rushing td's in there.....either way i would still not waste a draft pick on him....but i am the type that will just draft one qb most of the time and then focus on other positions

yeah he had 78, and 94 rushing yards and a touchdown each of the three weeks so that inflated his numbers...as far as a passer he was meh...but he was also a rookie

I would welcome him to the team, but be very wary of my expectations. He is still a capable quarterback, but there are a few things I'd like to note.

Alex Smith will not return to the team if he is not the starting quarterback. Good thing for some, bad for others, I fall right in the middle.
He would likely not improve the win total for the team.
He would be a fantastic mentor for Colin Kaepernick.
He is very familiar with the west coast system that we would employ.

A very risky signing, one I wouldn't be able to put all my confidence in, but it would be worth a shot.

    Titans like him too.

the playoffs that you did not make last year?

  • MarcTheFallenMarcTheFallen Posts: 26,685 master of ceremonies
Of course. Our team was a mess from coaching to injuries to it all. New season, new coach, new players, and new start. Will feel good to be back in the playoffs again :3

Straight up willing to bet that if Seattle gets the #1 pick they go with Barkley.

carolinas o line was not that bad....it was one reason why they had such success as far as there 2 back system....there problem was no qb and no one to throw the ball to
You're crazy. Steve Smith (Car) is an elite WR with no Oline and no one to throw to him.

No doubt... last 3-4 games of the season last year, Tebow was like the number 1 rated fantasy QB.
idk what you were watching but of the three games he started last year, yes he had one 300 yard game but his completion % was never over 55.2....and he threw 4 td to 3 interceptions...not exactly number one fantasy qb....you would be out of your mind to waste any draft pick on him
I was about to make the same statement earlier, but I looked at our league scores for last year to check. These were his scores in our league for the last three weeks.

    24.8
    27.7
    30.4

That's incredible. He was right, so I shut up.
yep. It was his dual threat rushing that padded those stats. I don't like Tebow... I like him about as much as I liked Vick when he was in Alanta. But I noticed those last three games, and I made a mental note to pick him up for the big upswing potential. His potential to put up a monster season is there, so he is more then worth a late round draft. I'll be drafting him higher then what he typically goes.

Same with DeAngelo Williams if he gets traded to denver. The last really great back Denver had that had as much talent as DeAngelo Williams was Terrell Davis.

i actually like him just based on his work ethic....i wanted him to be drafted but i thought first round was to high

steve smith was a big part of the problem there...he was not on board and did not work hard last year

Speaking of the video, I lol'd at how the write of the article said "It wouldn't be a legal catch in the NFL"

It wouldn't be a possible catch in the NFL...

Jets contact free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha

Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger reports the Jets have reached out to the camp of free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, according to two people informed of the communication between the sides. These people requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak for either side.

Asomugha, a star in Oakland, is the most coveted cornerback in this year's free agency class.

Paying for Asomugha may be a challenge for the Jets, who have Darrelle Revis under contract for $7 million this season plus an $18 million option bonus. But never say never with the Jets, who have to be enticed by the potential lockdown duo of Asomugha and Revis.
