Three players who are older than 30 received pink slips Monday from the New York Jets -- Kris Jenkins, Jason Taylor and Damien Woody. One player in that precarious age group who doesn't have to worry about his future is LaDainian Tomlinson.
The Jets will retain the future Hall of Fame running back for the 2011 season, the final year of his contract, according to league sources. There had been mild speculation about Tomlinson, who turns 32 in June, but the team intends to go forward with a three-headed backfield -- Tomlinson, Shonn Greene and Joe McKnight.
Interesting.....I think Moreno is getting better though.
Also, for Ape: Carson Palmer is apparently determined to leave Cincinnati.
Palmer, who has demanded the Bengals trade him, told a confidant he "will never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again," WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reported Tuesday.
Bengals owner Mike Brown said in January that he will not trade Palmer because the quarterback is crucial to the team's plans.
Several sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen in January that Palmer will contemplate retirement if the Bengals do not trade him.
According to Tuesday's report, Palmer said "I have $80 million in the bank. I don't have to play football for money. I'll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere. I'm prepared to live my life."
Usually I don't agree with a player being a baby but I say trade him. I have heard ideas about maybe a 3 team trade. Seattle getting Palmer we get kolb from Philly and I'm not sure if we give up the 4th pick or not but it involves getting each of those teams first pick. Whether there is any validity I doubt it but I liked the idea.
The bengals also realeased a statement yesterday saying they will be drafting offensive players for the first couple rounds of the draft so no bowers or Paterson for us. They are looking at newton and Aj green
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
there o-line just needs players for them to develop...they played great this year with the exception of the first game with the bears....i wouldn't be upset if we went into the next season with the same one....our secondary is a big key...but fuck do we need a linebacker
"The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.
Rogers' deal is worth $4 million, a league source told ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Rogers, a former three-time Pro Bowl player, was cut on Feb. 9 after playing sparingly during the 2010 season due to ankle, hip and elbow injuries. He had been scheduled to make $5.5 million in 2011 with a $500,000 roster bonus."

If he could stay healthy, I like it.
