I don't even care if they beat Arizona or Atlanta anymore. All I want out of this season now is a win over Chicago and for Megatron to break Rice's record.
At the moment, I can count at least six NFC teams that are playing better ball than Atlanta these days: The Giants, Redskins and Cowboys in the East, the Packers in the North, and the 49ers and Seahawks in the West. Not all of them will make the playoffs, of course, but each of them could give Atlanta a game, which should make Falcons fans plenty nervous as they size up January's tournament. Especially since quarterback Matt Ryan, once a leading MVP candidate, has cooled considerably: four touchdown passes and seven interceptions in his past four games.
Not much confidence in the Bears right now, but I think they still have a good chance of getting in the playoffs. They realistically need to finish 10-6 to guarantee getting in. They still have Arizona on the schedule which leaves either needing to beat GB at home or beating what likely will be a 5-10 Lions team in Detroit. Once you get in the playoffs anything can happen, so it's not like I'm jumping off a bridge quite yet.
Cowboys certainly are not playing better football than Atlanta, and I'd say the 49ers might not be either.
I would agree with this. That was a Don Banks post I copy and pasted. Don/Dan whatever his fucking name is. I guarantee Atlanta does nothing in playoffs.
