How much more do they want to "water it down"? Too many fucking rules already. Receivers aren't scared to run across the middle anymore..etc.....This is football..it's a violent game..don't wanna get hurt then don't play it.
"After a touchdown or field goal, instead of kicking off, a team would get the ball on its own 30-yard line, where it's fourth and 15," TIME's Sean Gregory writes. "The options are either to go for it and try to retain possession or punt. If you go for it and fall short, of course, the opposing team would take over with good field position. In essence, a punt replaces the kickoffs."
the idea marc posted is absolutely atrocious and i would hope that its a joke.. kickoffs are apart of the game like it or not.. goddell is such a fucking faggot fucking with the game all the time.. 4th and 15 at the 30? what the fuck? i mean if they just elimated the kickoff and put each team at the 20 it would still be shitty but not that bad.. but the situation of 4th and 15 is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard in my life and if it was ever put in place i wonder if that might be the day i give up on the nfl
kickoff are becoming irrelevant because of leg strength now a days....that is probably just an idea that been throw out there....i can see why there thinking about getting away from the kickoff though
lol at kickoffs are irrelevant.. maybe you forgot the fucking superbowl with the saint like 3 years ago
are understand what your saying though but the worst case scenario is that team just do a touchback and get the ball at the 20 not really a big deal.. no reason to change the whole fukkin game around for it
that 4th and 15 would be replacing the onside kick....idk i think it could be exciting...not saying its what i want to see happen but i bet there would be a lot of crazy things happen

Rex it's not because the kickers have stronger legs its because they moved kickoffs from the 30 yard line to the 35 before the 2011 season.

I'd rather teams punt if it means there will be an actual return.
