After watching the replay like 50 times, I think he might have swung his leg knowing Schuab was there...but there's no way in hell he knew he'd kick him in the balls.
We are going to need defensive linemen though. Avril, Jackson, Williams, and Young are free agents along with Houston, Levy, Delmas, and Durant. The defense is going to look very different next year because there is no way all of them come back, nor should they.
Houston needs to be brought back no matter what. I'd like to see Jackson and Young back. Avril and Vanden Bosch can take a hike. I'm meh on Levy and Durant but our options are limited and Delmas cannot be trusted to stay healthy. I'd only take him back at a discount. Williams is looking more and more expendable due to Fairley's recent play.
