I really can't express how i feel. That has to be the dumbest rule i have ever heard of...worse then the calvin call....why should something that is usually always reviewed not reviewable because of a penalty...explain to me any other penalty that could have been called there and the play could have still been reviewed..this team just won't play up to there potential....but it doesn't help being screwed by the refs like we were today there were so many bad calls....I just can't explain how i feel...i made the comment earlier that i hate being a lions fan and laughed it off...in truth i cant imagine being a fan of any one else...iv spent my whole life just hoping to see a playoff win....there last one was 91....i was 3 years old and don't remember it...this was the first year where i actually had realistic hope of that happening in my teenage/adult life and i can't imagine a way in which the season could have been more heart breaking. 3 OT games, chances to win every game...if there is one thing that comes out of todays game that is positive its that every fan in the stadium showed exactly how much we care and how passionate we are as a fan base. Those guys were great today.
That being said i still like the potential of the team next year...Leshour and Fairly have both impressed me with there play this year. hopefully we can continue to improve our team over the offseason
The rule makes sense. You can't benefit from an illegal challenge flag. The coach just needs to be aware of that. Some of yall are really overreacting.

No, it really doesn't. Schwartz should have known the rule. That doesn't mean it isn't a terrible rule. The goal of instant replay is to get the call right. Why should the coach challenging something that's going to be reviewed anyway completely prevent the officials from getting the call right? It doesn't make sense. A 15-yard penalty is acceptable. Negating an automatic review is garbage and counter-intuitive.
Yall are extremely biased, especially you Rex. I'm not trying to be a dick, honestly. The rule makes sense though. Sure it sucks that Schwartz wasn't being aware enough, but shit happens. No reason to blame the refs on this one.
i bitch about calls...but thats just my inner fan....and you probably see 1 game a year from the lions...i wasn't biased when green bay got screwed by Seattle....i just wasn't as passionate because it wasn't my team...just because its my team doesn't mean im biased in how fare i think the call is....what happened today should not happen to any team ever
