Titus Young said he is the successor to Barry Sanders in Detroit ) ) ) ) ) ) )
"Two things come to mind, though, that make me pretty confident that Barry Sanders didn't share the same torch-passing experience: 1) If he was going to pass the torch to someone, I don't know why he would've waited 13 years to do it; and 2) Calvin Johnson exists. If anyone in Detroit is carrying #20's torch, it's Megatron. Also, Young may want to stop cold-cocking his teammates in practice. That'd be an excellent first step."
NEW YORK (AP) -- Evelyn Lozada says Chad Johnson ''needs help.'' The reality star issued her first statement Tuesday since the football star's arrest for allegedly head-butting her. The altercation took place in the Miami area Saturday. Lozada says she's ''deeply disappointed'' that her estranged husband hasn't taken responsibility for his actions. She says he made false accusations against her: Johnson told police she head-butted him. Lozada says she hopes that by taking a stand, she will encourage other women to ''break their silence'' on the issue of domestic violence. The two were married a little over a month ago and their nuptials were to be part of the VH1 reality show ''Ev & Ocho'' - but it's now been shelved. Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins the day after his arrest.
If I spent half as much of my time on my homework as I did analyzing the NFL, I'd probably be on the dean's list.
Giants fans are just in a situation that doesn't happen very much. They're Super Bowl champs but they aren't getting the "they're destined to repeat" hype that surrounded the last 10 or so champs. Packers got it, Patriots got it, hell, even the poor Colts team that won it got it. It's just a product of being a good team fundamentally. No one likes to cover that.
You love covering the Michael Vicks, the DeSean Jacksons, the Cam Newtons out there. It's just because they put the analysts in a win-win situation. Win, and they were right. Lose, they get to cover what went wrong. It's not as fun to say that the Giants have the second deepest D-Line to the Lions right now, and that's a major component of their success. It's not as fun to say that Eli, y'know, the other Manning, put together a season as good as any Peyton has over the last 5 years.
But still. They're the Super Bowl Champions. They get more hype as a team than they deserve, because they're right where everyone else is right now.
Excellent educated answer except for one thing. Giants have the deepest d-line. That's not even debatable.
in fact outside of your 3 very good DE's id say you guys are pretty light on the line...i mean how much are you really expecting to get out of shaun rodgers ) osi is now thirty and battled injuries a lot of the last 4 years or so
we were doing an alright job last year until everyone started dropping like flies...but that was mostly to just fuck with gary....all tho our D line did under preform last year i think a lot of it was because there was so much pressure on them from everyone to be great....with fairly being healthy and being in there as another guy to rotate is going to help...and were going to move suh around the line like we did his rookie year instead of just having him sit in one spot...also people are going to learn willie young's name...i think there going to be a lot better....plus our offense either scored quick or punted quick and they were always on the field....i think we are going to control the ball more this year
You know I never care about the giants. I have no hatred for them and I don't like them at all but whenever Gary is around for some reason I start to hate the giants
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
