While I agree that its probably not as big, you can make comparisons between the two. I mean its not like Randy Moss didn't get kicked out of his school or anything.
Well, he actually played in the season before he left for the draft, caught a TD in every one of the 28 games he played for Marshall, and finished 4th in the Heisman voting. The only reason teams passed on Moss were because of the legal problems. No questions about his talent. Bryant's problem is he hasn't demonstrated anything to merit a high first-round pick.
You make a valid point. I wouldn't mind passing him up for another reciever depending who is left. Chances are we wont get the chance to pass him up anyway.

"Who knows. Two-time winning Super Bowl QB, I would do it. The 49ers should have someone like Anthony Davis from Rutgers available at 17. A pass rusher like Jason Pierre-Paul or Sergio Kindle is also a possibility. Jimmy Clausen may also be there but I don't see them taking that chance."
Davis is the best tackle in the draft, but his character really hurts his stock. I think that Singletary can fix that, because everyone there believes he brings the best out of his players.
I don't like Clausen or Pierre Paul for the 49ers.
we need depth and hell yes we do.....avril and vanden bosh isnt enough.....devries is washed up....and avril is still unproven and isn't so great against the run......graham could play anywhere in our front seven and has a huge motor....don't tell me you would be upset if we picked him >_< lol
The Lions have a history of drafting value over need. Problem is, the value is always bad. Suh is both the best player in the draft and a need. After that, the draft is very deep at offensive line and running back, and they satisfy needs.
