That Dan Campbell press conference was fun but I'm pumped about the Aaron Glenn hire at DC. He's a Parcells disciple and that Saints secondary has been great for years. The Bears and Jags wanted him too. Good start.
I mean things change pretty quickly. For example the Chargers were going to hire Bills OC Brian Daboll as their coach, that was all I was hearing. Then the Bills won their playoff game, so they hired Brandon Staley from the Rams instead. That's why I don't assume anything until it's done. Who knows if he's the guy if the Saints win last week. Coaches whose teams stay in the playoffs tend to get screwed when it comes to getting head coaching jobs.
But seriously though, how do you guys feel about the hire? I don't really know anything about the guy. @JLRedWing13@Rex_Capone420
Purely a leadership/culture guy as opposed to X's and O's. He's never been a coordinator but he was Miami's interim coach in 2015 and he was Payton's assistant head coach in New Orleans these last few years. Players and coaches love him. He was a tight end in the 2000s for the Cowboys, Giants, Lions, and Saints.
After Patricia I was open to any change so I would have been happy with anyone but promoting Bevell. I don't know whether it's going to work but I appreciate how self-aware he is about himself and the franchise and his willingness to be open-minded and humble, all of which were lacking under Patricia. He's not going to have a problem getting the locker room back together. It's going to come down to his staff choices and how well he and the new GM can acquire talent. I don't think the offense is far at all from being really good if they keep Stafford. Defensively they probably need to tear it all down with the exception of 3-4 players.
Yeah, the leadership kinda guys can be great for rebuilds. I dont want to give too much credit to John Fox because we got Peyton Manning too, but I feel like Fox was good for team morale as we recovered from Josh McDaniels. He even got a playoff win with Tebow. Hopefully this dude can provide a similar type of lift for you guys

Next Lions coach to win a playoff game will be a hero forever lol. It'll be pretty much like how it's going for the Bills right now except the Lions haven't even been to a Super Bowl, much less 4.
