It wasn't Barry's retirement that set the franchise back, they were .500 or better the first couple seasons after Barry. It was hiring fucking Matt Millen that put them in the hole it took a decade to dig out of. The events were completely unrelated.
Calvin lead the transition from the TO type attitude to what it is today. hes made about as big an impact on the game you can make without winning a playoff game ) would be a sad day if he retires.
Idk I do t think Calvin cares that much about the money. I think he'd actually take one willingly. Nate burleson said all Calvin wants to do is win In Detroit. I believe that. I think his body really is jacked. You could see it this year.
The Lions can afford to pay Calvin his money without a pay cut, they have enough cap space and I expect a couple vets (Tulloch, etc.) to be on the chopping block to make more space.
