Yeah. He's outstanding at managing player personalities. Also everything iv heard from other GM's when they talk about him is that he has a great ability to evaluate players.
He's a great coach. Just in one year i saw our team take strides from coaching i had never seen before. Stafford progressed, while he hadn't progressed even a little under schwarts. Our DB developed more in one year than i had see any group of our DB's progress at all over the last 20 years. We improved in almost every area except for offensive line play last year, and that issues was addressed yesterday.
Seriously though, i saw mock drafts with Shane Ray going in the top 10-15 a few months ago. He fell down the board because of the weed thing and he's injured.
This could probably blow up in our face, but if this kid keeps his shit together we just got an absolute steal.

what are the odds of a kid keeping his shit together doe? He's going to be getting tested a lot, and he can literally walk out his door and find weed lol
the nfl needs to gtfo with testing for weed to begin with. nobody gives a fuck anymore, it's legal in several states now, it doesn't help their performance. stupid, stupid shit
I'm just saying everyone is different. Its entirely possible it could help someone preform better while stoned. Its widely used in jiu-jitsu by extremely high level guys, and i know they aren't doing it before they train because it hurts them that's for sure. And for some people it makes them extremely active and energetic like they are on addy.
For one it decreases pain, which could help someone with an injury preform. I'm not saying it should be banned, i 100% support the use of weed in athletics. I'm just saying that saying it has 0 benefit when it comes to sports is a little out there considering it benefits almost everything else its involved with.
Caldwell is a good manager and motivator but he doesn't have the innovation to be an elite coach. He's too damn conservative which is pretty much the real reason why we lost to Dallas. If his assistants are good, then we'll be fine. Looks like Austin was a home run hire, but if Lombardi doesn't pan out we're in trouble.
