That confuses me though because all of my music still plays perfectly fine in iTunes. If it plays there, which all originate in the file I moved them over on from my old laptop, wouldn't it just go to that location where they're from?

Im off to my guitar lesson but ill follow up when i get back home with better elaboration.
So when I got into our hotel room in LA with my friends and I was syncing my iPod, I unintentionally found a fix to the problem.
>open laptop >connect iPod >realize that I have to log into the internet for the hotel >shit, now it won't scrobble if it's suddenly able to >sync complete >log into internet >last.fm opens >scrobbles >wat
tl;dr... turn off internet when syncing iPod, turn on after, and it finds the scrobbles
