Goddamn, America really gets fucked with Pokemon events. In the past month, Japan has gotten Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect, the 3 unobtainable, event-only Pokemon for Generation V.
pokemon isn't really all that popular in america any more
This. It was huge 10+ years ago. Pokémon was every fucking place. KFC had the awesome plush/beanie baby toys of Vulpix, Seel, Dratini, and Zubat...BK with the Pokéball toys and gold cards, etc. Now just recently McDonalds had toys but didn't hear about it till late. A few weeks later they didn't have em anymore.
I think if Pokémon was more popular over here there would be more deals, but it's also doubtful. Japan always gets the better end of the stick with games and consoles
yeah pokemon was huge here when i was in like 6th grade which was about yeah about 12 years ago.....i even played the card games a couple times with friends even tho i was never into it

It's not as big in America as it is in Japan, but to say it's "not that popular" is full retard. We also don't have full amusement parks dedicated to Mario in America like Japan, but is Mario "not that popular" in America? Fuck outta here.
you have no idea what it was like when it was actually popular around here....it really isn't that popular any more....your allowed to like stuff that isn't popular erik
Erik is right. Every game sells millions of copies. The show is still.watched like crazy. Its not AS popular as it was, sure. But its still a multi million dollar property
This isnt an argument lol. Just because you haven't seen the tv show on doesn't mean its not popular. I haven't seen an episode of American Idol or Jersey Shore in a few years. Doesn't mean its not watched by others.
And idk how a game that sold 3 million copies in the states isnt popular <_>
im just saying its not a must have for kids and its not plastered all over everything and thrown in your face....maybe i should have said its not very popular any more instead of just saying its not popular

Are you fucking stupid? I was Pokemon's target age group RIGHT when it came out and blew up, I've been playing Pokemon since 4-5 years old. So yea, I KINDA have an idea of what it was like, dumbass. And it's still a multi million dollar franchise, and that's only gonna be proven again come October when Black And White 2 drop, and they sell 1,000,000+ copies in the first week.
