Nah everything iv read points to the I5 6th and 7th gens being adequate and them not being obsolete for 2 years. AMD has some new processors coming out though so i may wait for that.
Gaming isnt as reliant on CpU as GPU. To game at 1080 pn ultra setting you dont need a top of the line processor. From my understanding anyways. Its all pretty confusing doe.
I can tell you firsthand my gaming experience was alot nicer when I had a laptop with an i7. My newer one has an i5 and performance is eh but I don't use it for gaming much.
Idk every review iv read says to go with the I5 and that the I7 is a waste of money for what you will want to do with the PC. Like i said im going to put a couple of days of research into this though. Im pretty good with computers but trying to figure out what i want looks to be a daunting task lol.
theres just like +100$ price difference. and for what i want to do i don't think im going to get much of a performance uptick from the I7 to make it worth it.
Yeah im not gonna spend no where near that to start off with. I just want to get up and running with a good quality rig and then gradually upgrade from there
I mean of thats what you want thats cool, but lets not try amd act like its part of whats required to build a rig. The computer im putting together would probably out perform that one but im only putting 7-8 hundred into it.
