i don't see why Hurricanes are such big deals. Blizzards are much worse. Snow pack can make roads impassable. losing power and having no heat. still have the wind and downing of trees. shouldnt be a big deal....
if you feel like you wont be safe leave otherwise wait it out. ive been through a few it wasnt too bad but the ones that were predicted to be beasts we didnt risk it and came to cincy to stay with relatives

my college is in fairfield, CT idk how close that is to you john but my dad is scared and delaying dropping me and my stuff off at school a day because of it. im not too worried about it but apparently he is so i have to wait a day
It will probably be around a Cat 2 by the time it reaches you...It will get windy and rainy...You live pretty far off the coast as well..I think you will be alright...I used to live in Maryland pretty much on the bay and went through a few...wasn't too terrible, but I suppose that depends on the storm lol.

Anyways, by the time it gets to you it'll probably be nothing more then a tropical storm are a category 1 at most which is nothing to worry about.
