the most i ever actually paid for a vinyl was mr. bungle's 'disco volante', which came with a .45 of secret chiefs 3. i paid $34 for it. i have albums that are worth more, but they were either given to me or i found them for the low low on ebay or gemm
Spent a good 5 hours at my favorite shop today. Picked up these
Sleep - Dopesmoker (Southern Lord 2LP Purple Release) St Vitus - Born Too Late (To my surprise it was a cool pink marble color) Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland Dio - Sacred Heart AC/DC - For Those About To Rock
You mean the fact that its spread across 3 sides? Meh, I wouldnt say its pointless. I'd say the opposite actually. Stoner metal sounds amazing through a record player. The packaging and artwork are beautiful as well (its a gatefold)
Well when you listen to it, it's supposed to be one continuous listen, but vinyl doesn't allow that. The artwork is the only reason I think people get it, for the most part.
I've listened to that album quite a few times, and only once high. It's a good album/song. Great for doing mindless busy work. Not saying you gotta listen to it all the time, but c'mon now.

Once on 4/20, another on a drive to LA, which I was not high for.
I feel that a full playthrough is more of a rite of passage than anything )
